3D Prototyping

Clothier Design Source offers a service that can eliminate the first cut and sew steps with virtual prototyping. More than a drawing, virtual rendering uses your digital pattern files to simulate fabric drape and fit of a sewn garment.

WHY WE OFFER THIS SERVICE?

So you can start selling and market testing your idea before it is finalized. Also to correct early fit or styling issues before actually cutting out of cloth.

3D VIRTUAL PROTOTYPING OFFERS:

  • 3D rendering uses the actual pattern and model measurements

  • Provides true fit and style simulation

  • Fast turn-around time with no need to wait for fabrics and trims to arrive

  • Allows client to quickly make changes to the style

  • Gives you the opportunity to try out different textures, colors and prints

  • Great tool to use for marketing and selling on websites

  • Use 3D rendering for crowd funding project to evaluate interest before investing in full development

  • Preview your styles in multiple colorways and/or prints before actually being made

 Sampling

In our prototype service we work in 2-4 rounds of sampling to get the fit and design completely production-ready. Prototyping is a process - the first prototype will not be perfect. We work with you through each round of prototype to prepare the product for manufacturing. During this process, not only are you getting a prototype, we are also developing the methods in which the product will be manufactured efficiently with the best quality.

WHY WE OFFER THIS SERVICE?

Because it is important to create the samples in the exact manner as manufacturing. All kinks are worked out in this process.

WITH OUR PROTOTYPE SERVICE WE:

  • Cut and sew the first through final round of prototypes

  • Develop production friendly methods specific to your product to prepare for manufacturing

  • Test and provide you options for how it could be made

  • Give you the opportunity to test your concept and provide feedback on fit, function, fabric and construction

  • Work with you to ensure you understand how your decisions will affect the cost to the end product
